CORA at Milestone Meet Recap

Amazing job at our first meet of the season, Stingrays! It was a great evening in Mechanicsville, with lots of first-ever swims, new events, and fun memories all around. Nate Doran highlighted our performances with three new meters team records. His 1:06.47 in the 100 IM, 30.97 in the 50 Backstroke, and 27.09 in the 50 Freestyle are the fastest performances in CORA team history by a 14-year-old boy.

The following swimmers qualified for the Championship meet: Rebecca Crady, Nate Doran, Owen Merritt, Tamsin Metz, Carter Nielsen, Cecilia Thorne, Maren Minor, Sean Rettig, Quinn Holt, Parker Nystrom, Carter Rettig, Tucker Barnes, Paolo Tique, Edison Crenshaw, Fleet Nystrom, Layne Smith, Avery Roberts, Lizzy Thorne, Charlie Doran, Aiden Montgomery, Ellie Carr, and Paco Tique. Our total of 22 qualifiers is a five-swimmer increase from our first meet last year!

Quadruple winners were: Andrew Austin, Rebecca Crady, Nate Doran, Owen Merritt, Tamsin Metz, Carter Nielsen, and Cecilia Thorne

Triple winners were: Elena Metz, Maren Minor, Sean Rettig, Quinn Holt, Parker Nystrom, Carter Rettig, Tucker Barnes, William Fogg, Fleet Nystrom, Layne Smith, Charlie Doran, and Aiden Montgomery.

We hope to see everyone at our first home meet, Wednesday, June 10, against Atlee Recreation Association!
